Women’s Health Education

In partnership with the Krishna Charitable Trust Medical Institute, Mann Vikas and the Bank have implemented a Women’s Health Education project which teaches women in self-help groups about nutrition, sexually-transmitted diseases, reproductive health, and breast and ovarian cancer.  The project consists of an educational video, a lecture by a female gynecologist, and sessions with doctors who provide check-ups.

Mann Taluka HIV/AIDS Awareness Program

The HIV/AIDS Awareness Program educates young people enrolled in local colleges about the risks of HIV/AIDS and other sexually-transmitted diseases.  The goal of the program is to dispel the many myths that surround HIV/AIDS and to prevent the spread of the disease through greater awareness.
